This is position is located in EEMS Policy, Process, and Contract Management, Richland County.

This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position.

Are you the One? We are looking for a Program Coordinator I (Quality Review Specialist) who evaluates the accuracy of documents scanned and indexed into the Medicaid Document Management System (OnBase) by the Centralized Document Management (CDM) team. Quality Review Specialists complete quality assessments of scanned documents in an accurate and timely manner as outlined by departmental standards.

  • The Quality Review Specialist should complete assigned quality reviews daily, meeting the number of reviews designated by CDM management and departmental standards. These reviews may include applications, reviews, medical records, changes of circumstance, trailing documents, and other related materials.
  • Ensures that all quality reviews of eligibility documents are completed accurately using the appropriate tools and checklist. Thoroughly and accurately documents findings of quality reviews according to quality assurance team guidelines.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and communication style, ensuring that communication and interactions with internal and external stakeholders is clear, polite, and concise. Participates in customer service and privacy training and ensures that confidential or private information is maintained in accordance with state and federal law as articulated through departmental policies and training.
  • Attends all mandatory meetings, training courses and events as directed by supervisory staff and agency leadership. Maintains awareness of and complies with all agency policies and procedures. Maintains appropriate certification and training to perform emergency management evacuation and shelter duties as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory staff and agency leadership.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and at least one (1) year of professional experience in social service programs, business administration, general administrative management or relevant program experience .

Preferred: Knowledge of SCDHHS Eligibility systems: Cúram (HCR and CGIS), OnBase, and MMIS. Previous document indexing knowledge. Familiar with HIPAA and confidentiality laws. Working knowledge of Medicaid services. One (1) year of document indexing for Centralized Document Management (CDM) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the functions in an office environment such as office practices, proper office etiquette, and standard office equipment operation.
  • Proficient in computer functions such as Microsoft Office, internet browsers, and using multiple operating systems at one time.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Great attention to detail.
