The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator II (Coordinator - Marketing Game Presentation & Fan Experience) for Athletics - Marketing.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Oversees, coordinates, and manages all marketing, fan experience, digital and traditional advertising, and promotional efforts for Rutgers Athletics for assigned sports.
  • Assists with leading the Marketing, Fan Experience & Brand Strategy internship program.
  • Helps with the management of charitable donations through the department.
  • Manages external appearances and scheduling requests for Rutgers Athletics mascot Sir Henry.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in sports administration, marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to make decisions independently.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to two years of experience working in sports marketing/event management field.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and/or other graphics.

Equipment Utilized

  • Microsoft Office tools.
  • Photoshop.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Lifting of boxes at times.
