Posting Summary

Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Program Coordinator in the Department of Urban and Global Public Health located in Newark, NJ. Under the direction of Principal Investigator, this position will support multiple NIH-funded research projects focused on health and wellness among sexual and gender minorities, with a particular focus on research within communities of color.

Duties include:

  • Oversees the implementation of a daily survey study. This includes tracking daily responses and coordinating with staff at
  • community-based organizations (CBOs).
  • Oversees implementation of an annual survey among Black youth communities.
  • Coordinates with staff at CBOs to meet goals for recruitment and data collection.
  • Coordinates state policy coding

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Public Health or a related field plus
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, OR a Master's degree preferably in Public Health or a related field plus One (1) year of relevant work experience.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Experience with basic MS Office software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Statistical Computing Programs (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS).
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with completing demands from team members.
  • CITI Human Subjects Research Certification
  • Experience with human subjects Institutional Review Board protocols
  • Experience with Electronic data collection platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
