Working Environment:

  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of standing/sitting for varying lengths of time and travel moderate distances to perform work
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals
  • Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Drive University vehicles/and or carts

This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551 S. Rural Road, Tempe (on Rural south of Apache) but will require working from other campuses depending on operational needs.

 

Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment. Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39-month period from date of hire.

 

Driving Requirement:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists the office of the University Architect’s programming, interior design, and move coordination teams with efforts across all campuses
  • Aids in FFE Procurement and Subcontractor communication. Including internal departmental tracking and communication.
  • Attend ongoing project meetings both online, and in person, and follow up with action items
  • Prepares space planning test fits and alternatives as needed
    Assesses field conditions; meets with customers to evaluate conditions, and determines needs
  • Manages inventory and use of surplus stock FFE and department design library
  • Works with vendors on timelines, procurement, and installation of FFE
  • Maintains and updates internal finish standardization documentation for completed projects
  • Coordinates and oversees relocation projects; assists with moving staff, students, and faculty from one space to another
  • Coordinates minor renovations including small patch and paint jobs, repairing, cleaning, or replacing floor coverings, installing or reconfiguring information technology equipment, FFE, and other equipment
  • Coordinates with other departments to set up IT, phone, access, signage, and other services; coordinates moving of customer items (e.g. boxes, furniture, etc.)
  • Assists with minor furniture relocation (e.g. chairs, small boxes, etc.) drives university vehicle

 

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

This position is based at ASU’s Tempe campus but will require working from other campuses depending on operational needs

 


Position Salary Range:

$52,000 - $56,000 per year, commensurate of experience and education. ASU offers a comprehensive benefits package with the State of Arizona.
