Job Summary:
The mission of the We Care Program is to support Northeastern University students who experience difficulty maintaining academic progress due to personal challenges or external obstacles. By responding to student requests for assistance and proactively reaching out to students of concern, We Care is a resource for students, their families, and Northeastern University faculty and staff. We Care provides policy information; customized referrals and guidance that helps students navigate and overcome difficult circumstances.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Student Success, the Program Coordinator, Student Support & Operations assists with the efficient and effective operation of the We Care Program. This role will support students to make independent decisions related to their needs while following university policies and procedures. This role must enjoy working with students and helping guide them through their challenges. The position requires organization, creativity, initiative, innovation, and problem-solving skills. A demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently, work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment, and previous experience working with college-level students is required.
Candidate will be required to work some evening, weekend and holiday hours as needed.

Responsibilities Include:
This is a highly visible, student-facing position requiring constant contact via telephone, email, and in-person visits. This position carries significant responsibility for the timely and accurate conveyance of time-sensitive information, and requires independent resolution of student concerns, minimizing the need for escalation. The role also requires significant collaboration with campus partners including Academic Advising, Disability Access Services, Housing and Residential Life, NUPD, Global Services, the Office of University Equity and Compliance, the Registrar, Student Financial Services, and University Health and Counseling Services.
This role will provide initial guidance to undergraduate, graduate, international, and distance learning students on matters where personal life events have impacted academic success and well-being, including financial, academic, registration, medical, and/or behavioral health concerns. The Program Coordinator, Student Support & Operations will assist in the development of marketing materials, maintenance of the program website, and modification of tracking systems to reflect student needs and program capacity. They will also create, manage, and maintain web-based programs and platforms. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of an assessment program to measure program effectiveness and utilization.

Expected Hiring Range:
$53,615.00 - $75,728.75
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
