Salary Range: $46,000-$48,000 annualized with flexibility, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary

The Program Coordinator will assist with the management of six academic degree tracks and support the development of program expansion. The ideal candidate needs to be very detail-oriented, capable of working with multiple leaders with various styles, proficient at coordinating the operation of multiple programs or projects simultaneously, and skilled at exercising independent judgment and authority as required. This position ensures programs run efficiently and meet goals. The candidate will also serve as the liaison between teams and stakeholders to achieve success and growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages the assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation.
  • Proposes, evaluates and coordinates the implementation of programs.
  • Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design, which may include grant development and submission.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
  • Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
  • Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program.
  • Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission.
  • Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/ participant progress and results.
  • Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university personnel.
  • Creates reports to reflect student progress and program levels and assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting.
  • Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of professional administration, program support, project coordination or related work experience.
  • This position requires the ability maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Three years of higher education experience.
  • Experience providing administrative support in an academic or student focused environment, including coordination and support of multiple leaders and projects.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Sedentary: Up to 10lbs - Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employees responsibility.
