At Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), we are dedicated to transforming lives through education and creating a lasting impact on our community. We invite passionate and innovative educators to join our mission-driven team, where you can enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance and competitive benefits, including a robust pension plan. Our beautiful, well-maintained campuses provide an inspiring environment for both teaching and learning, within an atmosphere of collaboration and excellence. At GTCC, you'll be part of a supportive, dynamic, and inclusive culture committed to delivering exceptional results, making it a truly amazing place to work and thrive.
Recently, GTCC was selected as the educational provider for the nationally recognized FAME (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education) Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program. FAME has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and Time; engaged by multiple nationally and globally renowned think tanks (including five times by the very prestigious Brookings Institution); won 12 awards; and much more. Many faculty participants consider the FAME-AMT program to be a destination job and a top career achievement. See the national website at http://fame-usa.com.
GTCC's NC FAME First in Flight Chapter has quickly emerged as a highly visible, employer-driven model for advanced-manufacturing education and workforce development. As North Carolina's first FAME chapter, the program combines rigorous technical instruction, paid work-based learning, and strong industry partnerships to deliver globally recognized preparation for modern manufacturing careers. GTCC's early program success has drawn national recognition-including first-place student recognition at state and national competitions-and international interest from leaders seeking to replicate the GTCC model in countries such as Ireland and South Africa. This is a distinctive opportunity for an accomplished program director/instructor to lead a growing, high-profile initiative with influence well beyond the Triad.
