    JOB TITLE:  PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES
     
    IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
     
    CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT
     
    COMPENSATION:  $63,000- $77,000
     
    POSITION SUMMARY:
     
    This position provides supervision to substance abuse counselors and/or other staff, functioning with limited oversight while exercising significant initiative and independent judgment.
    This position is also responsible for coordinating and completing intake assessments for individuals seeking substance use services. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the role may also include providing individual and group counseling, case management, and related support services for outpatient and intensive outpatient clients with drug and alcohol issues. This position requires working 40 or more hours per week. The schedule includes the following:
    Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm.
     
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Performs comprehensive substance abuse assessments for patients.
    • Expected to complete a minimum of 2 assessments/intakes daily.
    • Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans that consist of measurable and attainable treatment goals.
    • Cultivates a working, professional relationship with existing and future referral sources.
    • Follow up with referral sources regarding the outcome of assessments, if applicable.
    • Follow up with no call/no show appointments to increase the rate of intake completion.
    • Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as needed to maximize successful patient outcomes.
    • Provides individual, group, to assign patients on a regularly scheduled basis.
    • Maintains accurate and thorough clinical records reflecting services provided to patients.
    • Provides outreach and consultation, prevention, and treatment services as indicated by contracts and program needs.
    • Engages in appropriate discharge and aftercare planning with patients.
    • Monitors urine drops (same sex) as scheduled.
    • Maintains documentation in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.
    • Facilitates clinical staff meetings and participates in other program or agency meetings such as the quality improvement committee.
    • Participates in in-service, extramural training and/or continuing education as requested.
    • Identifies and responds to high-risk events/behaviors that could jeopardize patients and/or staff.
    • Supervises the work of others; and assists in instructing others in program methods, procedures, functions and completes staff evaluations as required.
    • Performs other duties as required or requested by supervisor.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    • Knowledge of therapeutic methods, principles, and practices.
    • Skills to train and supervise employees.
    • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
    • Skills in completing substance abuse assessments, planning, developing, and implementing individualized, therapeutic treatment plans.
    • The ability to provide sincere interest necessary to collaborate with the patient population as well as exhibiting caring and respectful attitudes toward patients.
    • Ability to assume responsibility and follow directions.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
     
    EDUCATION:
     Master’s degree required.
     
    EXPERIENCE:
    Five or more full-time years’ experience providing substance abuse treatment.
     
    CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
    Appropriate certification of CADC is required.
     
    BENEFITS SUMMARY:
    Full-time employees are eligible for benefits insurance on the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental and 401K participation. We also offer an accrual of 4 weeks of paid time off per year. There is an annual discretionary bonus given as well after completing 1 year of service. Full-time employees are also eligible for short/long term disability and term life insurance.
