Program Director Residency

The Program Director oversees the General Surgery residency program, ensuring high-quality education, compliance with accreditation standards, and alignment with healthcare quality and cost goals.

• Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the curriculum with support from the Chief Resident and Program Coordinator.
• Ensures adherence to accreditation, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements, including GME policies.
• Develops annual program materials, recruits and evaluates candidates, and orients residents to the program and accreditation standards.
• Must be a licensed, board-certified surgeon with clinical competency and administrative abilities, with preferred experience of five years in general surgery and three years in an ACGME-accredited residency.

• The role requires leadership, compliance oversight, and active promotion of educational excellence within the framework of healthcare quality and cost efficiency.
