Program Director Primary Substance Abuse Treatment Program

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Director to lead our primary substance abuse treatment program. The ideal candidate will have strong operational leadership experience within the private California treatment market and a proven ability to manage and grow multiple entities. This role requires a leader who can balance clinical excellence, compliance, and operational efficiency, while fostering collaboration across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and direction for program operations across multiple treatment entities.
• Oversee staff, ensuring effective hiring, training, supervision, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards governing substance abuse treatment programs.
• Collaborate closely with clinical, admissions, medical, and administrative department leaders to ensure seamless program delivery.
• Manage program facilities, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and compliant environment.
• Oversee intake processes, ensuring efficiency and a positive client experience.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies for program improvement and growth.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and mission-driven care.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in operations management within the California private treatment market.
• Strong knowledge of substance abuse treatment operations, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience overseeing multiple programs or entities preferred.
• Background in detox and residential treatment settings is a plus.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage facilities, and collaborate effectively across departments.
