Position Overview:

The Program Director of the Caregiver Services Program is responsible for the overall leadership, administrative oversight, and supervision of the Caregiver Program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality support services to caregivers, compliance with all program standards, and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. The Program Director works closely with staff, community partners, funders, and agency leadership to support caregivers and strengthen the program’s impact.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of Caregiver Services Program:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Caregiver Services Program.
  • Ensure program activities align with contractual requirements, Program Standards, agency policies, and best practices.
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations, including service delivery, compliance, 
    workflow, and staff performance.
  • Review and sign off on each family caregiver’s case, including intake, assessment, 
    assessment summary case notes, and Caregiver Support Plan.
  • Collect and analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and identify 
    opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, update, and implement program policies and procedures.
  • With Fiscal Department, responsible for monitoring expenses to ensure program remains within budget
  • Maintain familiarity with all relevant NYC Aging standards, including updates to 
    standards and procedures
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings
  • Represent CASC at community events, committees and coalitions
  • Assist with other program activities as assigned
  • Additional responsibilities as required
Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree required, including one of the following or an equivalent master’s- 
    level field: Social Work (MSW, LMSW or LCSW), Human services, Social Services, Public Administration, Public Health
  • 3-5+ years of experience in program management, supervision, or leadership with social services, aging services, caregiver support programs, or related fields preferred
  • Strong knowledge of caregiver needs, support models and community based service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, train and mento staff and volunteers, manage compliance, and implement best practices
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across internal programs and community partners
  • Fluent in a second language (preferred)
  • Effective leader with experience coaching staff, improving performance, and guiding teams through high-pressure or crisis situations
  • Strong collaborator who builds inclusive, team-oriented environments and works effectively across diverse cultures
  • Self-motivated and organized, able to manage multiple priorities independently and make sound, analytical decisions
  • Skilled communicator and problem-solver, able to represent the organization externally and drive continuous improvement
Pay Range: USD $39.42 - USD $40.86 /Hr.
