What You Will Do

The ISR-7 Space Systems Assurance and Implementation group seeks a highly team-focused, strategically organized, and cross-functionally collaborative professional to support Los Alamos National Laboratory's Global Security (GS) missions. The diverse portfolios encompassed within GS programs feature advanced space flight payloads, innovative enabling technologies, and associated modeling and simulation capabilities. ISR-7 is one of several groups integral to product realization, where multi-disciplinary project teams with resources from multiple divisions, develop integrated space and remote-sensing systems from inception, design, and prototyping; through fabrication, assembly, test, and integration; to commissioning and operation.

The selected candidate will exert significant latitude in technical project management roles for multiple projects through close partnership with the program and project leadership and other stakeholders from internal and external organizations, many of whom have complex and competing requirements. Because of the diversity within GS programs, this role will interface with organizations and personnel at many levels of the Laboratory and technical disciplines. To be successful, exceptional tact, strategic diplomacy, and independent judgment in providing scope, requirements, communication, technical risk, and project management are essential. The ideal candidate will distinguish themselves through enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity and awareness, and a demonstrated commitment to creating and stewarding effective, high-performing teams.
