Job Description:
This position supports senior acquisition leadership in transitioning advanced technologies into formal programs and operational environments. The role focuses on connecting early-stage innovation with structured program execution, ensuring new capabilities are effectively matured, integrated, and delivered as mission-ready solutions.
You will work closely with leadership, program teams, and technical stakeholders to assess transition strategies, evaluate readiness levels, and coordinate integration efforts across multiple initiatives. This is an on-site role that requires consistent collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate program portfolios to identify transition risks, capability gaps, and opportunities
- Collaborate with product managers and program teams to assess technical maturity and deployment readiness
- Support planning and execution of acquisition milestones, reviews, and decision events
- Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and decision-support documentation
- Coordinate integration efforts across acquisition, engineering, and operational teams
- Align modernization initiatives with acquisition strategies and mission objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline
- 15+ years of relevant experience for SME-level candidates (10+ years for senior-level candidates)
- Experience supporting defense acquisition programs or adaptive acquisition environments
- Strong understanding of acquisition lifecycle processes and program office functions
- Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAWIA certification in Program Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or related field
- Experience in acquisition roles, program integration, or operational leadership
- Background in rapid capability development or prototyping initiatives
- Experience supporting Program Executive Offices or headquarters-level organizations
- Familiarity with transitioning capabilities into operational defense environments
