Location: Menlo Park, California (Remote)

COMPENSATION: $60 - $70 HOURLY

Role Overview

This position is for a Program Manager focused on energy reporting. The role serves as the day-to-day owner and coordinator for energy activity data, which includes Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 energy datasets that inform the company's greenhouse gas inventory, emissions forecasting, and disclosures. This is a hands-on, data-centric role requiring experience in managing concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment, working with large datasets, and communicating data insights to various audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day owner for energy activity data across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 electricity, from data collection and quality assurance to reporting.
• Perform analyses on the Environmental Attribute Certificate (EAC) portfolio and support the development of internal systems for portfolio management.
• Run and maintain the recurring data collection, quality assurance, and validation cadence.
• Perform and quality check data pulls from energy data systems, investigate anomalies, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate data and process flows across cross-functional partners to maintain accurate inputs.
• Support the emissions forecasting cadence as the energy-data point of contact.
• Develop and maintain program-management artifacts such as trackers, roadmaps, and status reports.
• Support a quarterly reporting cadence, including execution updates and presentation preparation.
• Support external assurance and audit activities by preparing and validating data and documentation.
• Triage and respond to incoming energy-data and analytical requests.
• Maintain and improve reporting documentation for energy data collection processes.

Required Qualifications

Education: A BA or BS degree in physical sciences, engineering, math, statistics, accounting, business, environment, or a sustainability-focused field is required.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in program management, data operations, or analytics coordination, ideally supporting technical or data-oriented teams. Direct, hands-on experience working with large datasets, including collecting, quality checking, reconciling, and analyzing data from multiple sources is necessary.

Skills: Familiarity with corporate GHG emissions accounting concepts (Scope 1, 2, and 3) is needed. The role requires project-management skills with a demonstrated ability to self-manage complex, data-driven delivery in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, and strong attention to detail are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a scripting or query language such as SQL or Python.
• Experience building visualizations and dashboards, particularly with Tableau and Excel.
• Familiarity with energy and utility data structures.
• Understanding of current practices in greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability reporting.
• Familiarity with external reporting standards and platforms such as GHGP, CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, or CSRD.
• Experience supporting external assurance or audit processes.
• Experience working within large, matrixed organizations.
