Program Manager - 3628453

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Program Manager position! This is a 12 month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage multiple related projects and ongoing operations impacting three or more business functions, with total project scope of $5M+ and team sizes ranging from 30-50 FTEs across 18-24 month project timelines

• Develop comprehensive project plans including work breakdown structures, project organization charts, cost/budget forecasts, and communication, risk, quality, and resource management plans using requirement-gathering techniques and stakeholder collaboration

• Monitor and control project performance utilizing appropriate tools and techniques to track progress, identify variances, implement corrective actions, and ensure execution aligns with project goals and budget constraints

• Lead and coordinate constituent project managers to ensure clear roles and responsibilities, effective resource sharing across projects, and alignment on cost, schedule, and technical performance metrics

• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques to maintain accurate project plans that reflect authorized changes and facilitate customer acceptance

• Build and enhance team performance by leading, mentoring, and motivating project team members to foster cooperation, boost morale, and ensure project efficiency across direct reports (5-15) and extended project teams (50-100 members)

• Implement risk mitigation strategies and approved workarounds to address program issues, taking into account project constraints and objectives to enable continued program success

• Communicate project status, initiatives, and strategic updates to executive management in a clear, professional manner while managing stakeholder relationships across internal and external systems with 6+ interfaces

What You'll Need to Have:

• 8+ years of proven project management experience managing large-scale, complex programs with multiple related projects impacting three or more business functions

• Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, 12+ years combined higher education and/or work experience including 8+ years of project management experience

• Strong knowledge of project management methodology and proficiency applying structured approaches to program planning, execution, monitoring, and control

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with demonstrated success navigating project constraints, implementing corrective actions, and driving programs to successful completion

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and gain consensus across multiple stakeholders including executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams

• Proven ability to build mutual trust and encourage respect, remaining open to diverse points of view while managing teams both directly (5-15 reports) and on a project basis (50-100 members)

• Self-motivated, results-driven, and well-organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints across concurrent high-priority initiatives

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred

Pay Range: $60-85/hr
