The Finance Operations (FinOps) Business Partnership (BP) team is seeking a Finance Manager who will be a key member of the Global Transportation BP team. In this role, you will drive Accounts Receivable performance across multiple modes of Transportation globally, developing and maintaining operational metrics, assessing priority areas, driving global operational reviews, and owning improvements to achieve targets. You will partner with upstream business, finance, technology, tax, and accounting teams to build scalable receivable processes and remove defects.

As a business partner, you will collaborate daily with Accounts Receivable Service Centers, Business, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Technology, Customers, and other operational groups at all levels in a global environment. Your strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills will be essential to manage multiple high-visibility priorities in a fast-paced environment where you"ll navigate ambiguous situations and drive effective solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build financial and operational analyses to drive global growth and scale, using data to influence senior leadership decisions, defining project plans and delivering high-quality, systematic solutions to prevent and eliminate defects.
  • Scale services and tools design processes and procedures that scale with the business growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
  • Define key performance indicators develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with system and business owners globally to ensure process excellence and the highest degree of controllership.
  • Drive resolution of critical issues for customers as well as support processes/systems deep dives to ensure root cause analysis and correction resulting in improved customer experience.
  • Negotiate efficient and reliable processes and policies across partner teams to systematically eliminate dependencies and defects.
  • Liaise with Finance Operations (FinOps) support centers to set near, medium, and long-term operational goals for improvements.
  • Identifying and quantifying financial and operational risks and opportunities both internal to FinOps and to the business, driving ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Work cross-organizationally and functionally to identify key opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces and developing and implementing plans to capitalize on those opportunities and measure and monitor success and impacts.

A day in the life

Your day begins by reviewing performance dashboards and preparing for operational reviews with global stakeholders. You"ll analyze receivable collection processing metrics to identify trends and potential process improvements. Throughout the day, you"ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues, participate in working sessions to develop new payables processes, and communicate findings to leadership. You"ll balance tactical problem-solving with strategic initiatives, using your analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions while building strong partnerships across the organization.
