Tyler Colorado seeks a highly organized and proactive Program Manager to oversee the portfolio of custom applications and content management system (CMS), ensuring seamless execution of projects and alignment with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including implementation, security, product development, and QA to deliver exceptional solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs. This role will also focus on risk assessment, release management, customer engagement, and communication to ensure transparency and product success.

Responsibilities also include cultivating existing client relationships, managing new projects, managing the maintenance of existing custom applications, gathering technical requirements, and working with a small team of dedicated software engineers to ensure on-time delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the portfolio of custom applications and content management system, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs.
  • Manage all planned maintenance and enhancements for the custom application portfolio.
  • Provie hands-on support by reviewing, triaging, and resolving tickets related to program operations, custom applications, and/or CMS platforms.

Strategic Roadmap Development:

  • Collaborate with Leadership and External Stakeholders to develop timelines and establish a clear vision for the product and project roadmap.
  • Influence the vision for moving forward with assigned product(s).

Release and Communication Management:

  • Prepare and distribute release notes, training materials, FAQs, and prioritize topics for newsletters.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication-related to application updates and enhancements.

Agile and Sprint Planning:

  • Lead sprint planning sessions and ensure alignment between teams on project priorities and timelines.
  • Responsible for owning a prioritized backlog to ensure projects are handled in a timely manner.

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Assess potential risks associated with upcoming projects and releases and escalate concerns to management.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on identified risks, mitigation plans, and project progress.

Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, lead power user groups, and foster strong relationships.
  • Act as a conduit for customer feedback to inform enhancement requests and prioritize improvements.
  • Responsible for ensuring use cases and technical specifications meet client requirements.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities; create outreach strategies to develop relationships and earn new business.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between security, product, development, and QA teams to address vulnerabilities and align on solutions.
  • Proactively communicate with senior management on the product's performance, any major issues with the products or upcoming enhancements that pose a risk.

Stakeholder Reporting:

  • Report risks, upcoming enhancements, and overall project progress to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in program management, project management, or product management roles.
  • Familiarity with custom application development.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including experience leading sprint planning.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk, prioritize tasks, and navigate complex cross-functional environments.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet) and office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team as well as across functional groups.
  • Ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in person in the Denver office twice per week.

Additional preferred skills:

  • Experience with customer engagement and managing user feedback groups.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and escalation protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
