Job Overview:

The Energy Efficient Schools Initiative (EESI) Program Manager (PM) is responsible for administering EESIs loan and grant programs, providing technical assistance to school districts, and supporting the Executive Director in delivering EESI programs and services to Tennessee's 147 public school districts.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of existing loans and grants, processing reimbursement requests, reviewing funding applications, analyzing measurement and verification reports, and ensuring compliance with administrative and financial policies, as well as applicable state laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Energy Management, Education, Engineering, Sustainable Building Practices, or related field required; up to 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing energy-efficiency best practices, renewable energy programs, and green building design/construction.
  • Five (5) years of experience developing and delivering training, presentations, or curriculum for K12 students, teachers, and administrators.
  • Experience with federal, state, or local government programs related to energy management, facilities, or sustainability.
  • Experience analyzing energy performance data, verification reports, and program outcomes to measure energy and cost savings. Knowledge of performance contracting, construction agreements, and financing for energy and facility improvement projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
