Summary:

Location: Oakland, CA

Duration: 7 Months



Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing data-driven methods to drive line of business (LOB) benchmarking and best practice efforts to enable decision making that supports business objectives.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the companys electric or gas business with all outside utilities and utility consultants for best practices.
  • Representing the company as a thought leader at industry benchmarking conferences with other utility companies.
  • Managing the Electric portfolio of learnings, contacts, lessons learned, etc., in the Benchmarking portal (BRIDGE).
  • Developing frequent industry forums, leading problem-solving meetings, facilitating discussions with other utilities, and providing benchmarking guidance to company leaders.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Electric Operations.
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • Experience managing capital expense budgets or projects and programs.


Preferred Skills:

  • PMP Certification.
  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma (Black, Green, or Yellow Belt) certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of electric utility processes, regulatory requirements, critical success factors, goals, and initiatives.
  • Team leadership and collaboration skills.
  • General financial management & budgeting skills and business acumen.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influence skills. Basic negotiation skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Knowledge of project management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • May need knowledge of various enterprise resource planning (ERP) system modules.
