Program Manager- Human Services

Position Overview

The Program Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the effective, compliant, and person‐centered operation of DSN’s residential and community‐based programs. This position oversees daily program operations, staff coordination, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and the overall health, safety, and well‐being of Individuals served. The Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Director of Operations and supports organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Coordinates and facilitates team meetings and staff training for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), including emergency evacuation procedures, stress‐reduction techniques, and consumer dietary plans.
• Ensures all DSP and supervisory staff certifications and licenses remain current and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Develops, distributes, and monitors DSP schedules to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care.
• Participates in the on‐call supervisor rotation and attends staff meetings and other required organizational meetings.
• Acts as liaison to external agencies involved in consumer services, including day programs and community partners.
• Coordinates emergency shelter arrangements, provides staff with evacuation plans, and facilitates evacuation procedures during emergencies.
• Reports exposures to infectious diseases to the Quality Management Director and Incident/Risk Manager and implements containment procedures to protect Individuals and staff.
• Participates in the Rights Team, Grievance Committee, and Records Review Committee.
• Maintains high standards of regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and program integrity.
• Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
