- Organize TSDRP funding calls including proposal scoring, evaluations, and award notifications.
- Support and participate in planning, creation and submission of proposals and agreements as requested.
- Track overall TSDRP schedules, deliverables, risks, and outcomes for all dental research projects.
- Implement corrective actions to keep funded research projects on track.
- Ensure and tracks regulatory compliance of TSDRP funded studies.
- Serve as the central point of contact and liaison between internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Principal Investigators, Program Sponsors, organizational leadership and project management teams) for TSDRP initiatives.
- Develop, manage, and execute TSDRP program budgets across multiple funding sources.
- Ensure responsible stewardship of government funds and compliance with fiscal regulations.
- Monitor TSDRP expenditures, reprograms funds when necessary, and supports budget planning cycles.
- Prepare TSDRP briefings, reports, and updates for senior military and civilian leadership.
- Manage key program elements, including but not limited to goals and milestones, risks, available resources, standard operating procedures, quality control, and results.
- Identify project interdependencies, aligning resources and efforts where appropriate.
- Supervise, advise and guide TSDRP Project Managers and technical staff throughout the program lifecycle, focusing on the strategic direction of the projects.

- Direct Supervisor: Direct authority to make decisions on the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, starting salaries and merit increases; conduct employee performance evaluations and directs work activities.

This position strategically guides one or more project managers and related technical staff to ensure they are all working effectively toward the programs stated objectives. Typically oversees a highly complex scope of work related to dental research.
This position will be in support of the Tri-Service Dental Research Program (TSDRP). The TSDRP provides an organizational structure to align the strategic academic, research, and operational missions of key dental research stakeholders to mitigate current knowledge and capability gaps that directly affect the oral health and functionality of warfighters in current and future operational environments while concurrently addressing civilian gaps in dental care.
