The Program Manager Journeyman RQH will provide functional and specialized support, strategic direction, and oversight of the operations and business functions in support of AFRL enterprise, in particular the Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQH) for the advancement of a variety of aerospace technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Apply full range of program management philosophies, policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of acquisition management activities in support of existing and future programs.
  • Support Government leads with program management lifecycle requirements, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Support strategic scheduling and planning efforts and utilize a variety of systems to track, manage, and report efforts.
  • Provide technical support, coordination, and planning for integrated program reviews and conferences.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of capabilities, systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Identify risks and risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop and implement Capability Based Planning processes for Air Force Material Command
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science
  • Minimum ten (10) years' related experience
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in the DoD OR
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in the DoD
  • Possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge performing lifecycle tasks associated with contract acquisition, management, and closeout.
  • Knowledge in providing analysis and project management support.
  • Knowledge in program management philosophy, policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of acquisition management activities.
  • Knowledge in forecasting and making recommendations of funding changes, interim status, and overall results.
