Program Manager (Aerospace & Defense)
Las Cruces, New Mexico
I'm partnering with a leading aerospace & defense organization to hire an experienced Program Manager to lead complex, high-impact programs across the full lifecycle—from contract award through delivery and post-sale support.
This is a highly visible role responsible for driving execution, managing customer relationships, and ensuring programs are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own full lifecycle program execution from contract award through fulfillment and post-delivery support
- Act as the primary customer interface, managing communication, expectations, and issue resolution
- Lead development and execution of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) aligned to customer milestones
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality
- Drive program performance including schedule, cost, and risk management
- Own P&L responsibility including forecasting, cost control, and margin performance
- Lead customer reviews (KOM, PDR, CDR, etc.) and program review meetings internally
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of Program Management or Operations experience in Aerospace & Defense
- Strong understanding of full program lifecycle (development, qualification, production, aftermarket support)
- Experience working with DoD customers and/or prime contractors
- Familiarity with DFARs and government contracting requirements
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering preferred); PMP a plus
