The Program Manager Maintenance Safety is responsible for ensuring appropriate standards are established and maintained to provide the highest level of safety for Breeze Airways Maintenance operations.
The Maintenance Safety Program Manager is a subject matter expert in maintenance safety practices and procedures for Breeze Airways. As an individual contributor, develops, implements, and leads innovative safety programs and processes. This role exercises considerable judgment to make safety-related decisions and ensure aircraft maintenance is performed at the highest level of safety, in accordance with Breeze Airways policies and procedures, and aircraft manufacturer policies and procedures.
This position requires the applicant to reside within 50 miles of one of the Breeze Maintenance Locations:
Charleston, SCHartford, CT New Orleans, LAN Norfolk, VA Orlando, FL Providence, RI Tampa, FL
Here's what you'll do:
Manages investigation programs for incident or events involving Breeze Airways personnel or aircraft.
Evaluates, reviews, and makes recommendations resulting from incident/accident investigations and trend analysis of safety information.
Partners and supports the Maintenance division with ensuring a robust closed-loop process for employee safety reporting.
Partners with Maintenance division leaders to ensure robust analysis of safety performance risk and ensure effective visibility to mitigation efforts.
Leads the Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) process for Breeze Airways maintenance and cross-divisional workgroups.
Responsible for tracking and trending all maintenance-related OSHA events and reports and providing mitigation strategies.
Manages Regionalized Safety Programs/Committees for maintenance operations.
Reviews and analyzes maintenance delays, cancellations, and Continuing Analysis and Surveillance (CAS) data, to identify adverse trends and make recommendations.
Represents the safety division at the Maintenance Continuing Analysis and Surveillance (CAS) meeting with safety trends and performance updates.
Performs Hangar and Maintenance Line Safety Audits, as assigned, and reports findings and recommendations to the Manager Operational Safety and Maintenance leadership.
Manages the Maintenance Safety Promotion and Communication program, to include safety bulletins, safety newsletters, front-line awareness of occurrences, events, and trends.
Assists the Safety Department in the readiness of the Breeze Airways Emergency Response Program.
Participates in/facilitates/represents the safety division at:
Safety Review Board (SRB) meeting
Aircraft Ground Damage Review Board (AGDRB) Meetings
Weekly Safety Review (WSR) meeting
Employee Injury Review Board (EIRB) meeting
Other Breeze Airways safety and maintenance operations meetings
Maintain proficiency in accident and incident investigative techniques, photographic documentation, and technical skills, human factors continuing education, safety research, and investigation analysis. Perform all other duties/projects as assigned.
