Program Manager – Tech – Lead
Location: McLean, VA (Preferred); Plano, TX or Richmond, VA will also be considered
Duration: 8 months, with a possibility of extension and limited possibility of conversion
Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr on W2 without benefits
Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee complex technology programs spanning mobile and web application platforms. This role requires a strong technical leader who can manage cross-functional initiatives, coordinate interdependent workstreams, and drive execution across multiple technology platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong software engineering background, experience managing large-scale enterprise technology programs, and the ability to engage with senior leadership, including Director- and VP-level stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5 years of experience in technical program management or equivalent technical leadership roles.
Experience managing large-scale, complex enterprise technology programs.
Demonstrated experience with mobile and web applications or digital platforms.
Strong technical background in software engineering, application development, programming libraries, or system architecture.
Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years.
Experience progressing from software engineering or development into technical program management or engineering leadership.
Previous experience as a Software Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, Technical Program Director, or equivalent senior technical leader.
Experience managing enterprise platform modernization, cloud transformation, API integrations, or distributed systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of large-scale technology programs involving mobile and web application platforms.
Manage complex cross-platform dependencies, ensuring alignment across engineering teams, business stakeholders, and related technology initiatives.
Partner with senior technology leadership to establish program priorities, manage risks, resolve blockers, and maintain delivery timelines.
