Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Program Manager for the Center for NeuroMetabolism (CNM) at the Child Health Institute of NJ at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary role of the Program Manager is to support and advance the scientific, administrative, and strategic functions of CNM-administered faculty and staff. The Program Manager will provide high-level oversight and coordination of sponsored research activities associated with CNM, including supervision of grant support personnel, identification of appropriate federal and non-federal funding opportunities, and facilitation of timely and compliant grant application development and submission using the Rutgers Research Administration and Proposal Submission System (RAPSS). In this role, the Program Manager will advise faculty and supervise CNM staff involved in grant-related activities, demonstrating working knowledge of grant submission processes and required Rutgers, federal, state, and foundation materials, while maintaining the ability to quickly learn and adapt to evolving internal and external research administration systems. The Program Manager will participate in CNM decision-making processes, including faculty recruitment activities and the planning and execution of CNM scientific events. The Program Manager will supervise CNM program support staff responsible for communications and marketing and will contribute directly to the development of high-level scientific content that highlights CNM research programs and faculty accomplishments. Working closely with the CNM Director, the Program Manager will support the Center's scientific vision and strategic goals and contribute to initiatives that promote collaborative, translational, and bench-to bedside neuroscience research. A broad knowledge of neuroscience and metabolism-related research and a demonstrated ability to operate at the interface of science, strategy, and administration are required.
