    Job Description

At Amazon, we"re working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we're constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver their orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best-in-class service levels by pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space. We are doing this by building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors - called Delivery Partners - to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss by delivering Amazon packages.

As a Program Manager on our Growth & Expansions team, you will be responsible for inputs to long term strategy, and own planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact programs as we experiment with new iterations of modes of transportation and new operating models in countries where Amazon Flex operates. You will work closely with product managers who design these new offers and operating models, as well as partner teams across business, marketing, operations, legal, policy, tech and more, and you will work with regional teams to operationalize these ideas.

To deliver effectively, you will need to collaborate with business and operations teams, to understand their most pressing challenges and the Delivery Partner experience in each region. You will explore new growth opportunities, create operational business plans that deliver high-quality experiences for our Delivery Partners, and streamline the way we plan, test and launch new offers and operating models. You help teams determine where to iterate to make improvements and define success metrics. Your work will be a critical input for the development of product roadmaps.

The ideal candidate has a track record of success in project and stakeholder management, is a strong writer and communicator, and is resourceful. You are a 'hands-on' person with high level of autonomy and you are not afraid to drive results from the front. This will be a high-visibility role, meaning you are comfortable with driving critical business decisions in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and interacting with all levels of the organization.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
