    Who You Are

    The primary role of the New Product Introduction (NPI) program manager is to manage the program responsible for delivering agreed upon products through the various business units and through to release. This is primarily regarding the tasks involved through Phase 2-5 in the DIRTT product roadmap framework. The NPI program manager will work closely with the identified task owners to come to timeline expectations and overall cadence of gate reviews.

    Day-to-day will be project management of these initiatives as they move through the program. In addition, the NPI manager is responsible for improving the program where opportunities arise. The NPI program manager will integrate and communicate between DIRTT’s business units. The management of this program will allow for quick risk evaluation and the identification of roadblocks to delivery commitments. This is a critical role for DIRTT to execute on socialized commitments and move workflows through to completion.  

    What You’ll Do
      • Lead and continuously improve the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for physical products, from development through manufacturing and release.
      • Manage NPI projects, timelines, deliverables, risks, and gate reviews across Phases 2–5 of the DIRTT product roadmap.
      • Support and coordinate with NPI representatives from business units, including but not limited to Operations, Commercial, Product Development, and Technology/Design, to ensure complete business alignment.
      • Collaborate with engineering, product development, manufacturing, and operations teams to support product readiness, validation, and successful production implementation.
      • Establish expectations, facilitate communication, and solicit feedback from all teams involved in NPI initiatives.
      • Coordinate with executive stakeholders on NPI and Management of Change (MOC) initiative prioritization.
      • Identify and resolve process roadblocks, resource gaps, and cross-functional dependencies that may impact product delivery.
      • Increase visibility and communication between departments through improved integration, project tracking, and processes.
      • Provide regular updates to leadership on program progress, risks, milestones, and delivery commitments.
      • Manage and continuously update documentation related to the NPI process, gate reviews, and supporting templates.
      • Mentor, educate, and support NPI stakeholders across the business to ensure consistent processes and accountability.
      • Develop and lead the implementation of new product development and design processes within Product Development that align with NPI and MOC requirements.
      • Identify opportunities to improve hardware product development, manufacturing readiness, and cross-functional collaboration.
      What You’ll Bring
       
      Required Qualifications
       
      • 5+ years of project or program management experience, preferably involving physical product development or manufacturing.
      • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a background in change management, product introduction, and ISO-related processes.
      • 4+ years of technical design, engineering, or physical product development experience.
      • Demonstrated experience managing the introduction, development, improvement, or commercialization of hardware products.
      • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management, and the transition from product development to production.
      • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product development, operations, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
      • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders at all levels.
      • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite skills.
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to isolate issues, identify root causes, and understand how individual challenges affect broader business systems and workflows.
      • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, establish priorities, and drive projects through to completion.
      • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment where everyone has a voice and is expected to speak up, collaborate, and contribute to continuous improvement.
      • Experience using Monday.com or similar project and program management platforms. Familiarity with Monday.com is an asset, but not mandatory.
      • Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes in a manufacturing or product development environment.
      • Experience working with hardware product development, engineering change orders, product validation, or manufacturing readiness.
      • Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
      • Experience developing and implementing standardized processes, templates, and project management frameworks.
      • Experience working with Agile, Lean, or other iterative product development methodologies.
      • Ability to provide direction, mentorship, and support to cross-functional team members.
