Job Description

The Program Manager for the Office of Financial Success (OFS) manages and coordinates the functions of OFS supporting the Mizzou community. The Program Manager assists the Senior Program Manager with all duties, including operational services and as the center's secondary representative. This position will be primarily responsible for supervision of the student worker staff of OFS. Additionally, the Program Manager will assist the Senior Program Manager in establishing and building relationships with campus leaders and programs. This position will also be required to perform financial counseling in accordance with established standards, conduct financial wellness seminars/workshops, manage table events, and develop learning content to support these functions.

Specific duties include:

  • Assist with the planning, management, and implementation of financial counseling programs, financial wellness workshops/presentations, and recruitment activities in alignment with student needs and campus strategic priorities
  • Assist with planning and supervising the OFS table at special events and in pre-determined admissions recruitment events
  • Create, develop, and manage financial wellness education content
  • Utilize platforms such as myZou, MU Connect, MU Engage, etc. to track touchpoints and program engagement
  • Analyze program data with Microsoft 365 Tools such as Microsoft Excel to assess effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Shift

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Personal Finance, Family Economics, Finance, Business or any Finance related field
  • Two years' experience in financial counseling or financial advising profession
  • One of the following certifications is required or must be obtained within six months of hire: Certified Financial Planner (CFP ) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Any Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education (AFCPE) accreditation - Accredited Financial Counselor (ACC), Accredited Financial Counselor Canada (AFCC), Financial Fitness Coach (FFC)

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $54,000 - $62,000 per year
