Summary:
Company is seeking a highly motivated Community Program Manager to build, scale, and manage engagement programs for Live sellers. This role will be responsible for activating and growing the existing Live Community while launching and managing a new Discord pilot designed to foster real-time seller engagement, peer-to-peer learning, education, networking, and feedback collection. The ideal candidate is an experienced community builder who understands how to create thriving online communities, develop engaging content and event programming, moderate discussions, gather actionable insights, and cultivate seller advocates. This individual will serve as the connective tissue between Live sellers, product teams, marketing teams, and external community management partners. This role will play a critical part in strengthening seller engagement, increasing adoption of Live features, and building a scalable community model that can eventually support broader seller audiences across Company.
 
Responsibilities
  • Drive growth, engagement, and retention across the Company’s Live Community and Discord pilot.
  • Create programs that encourage seller participation, peer-to-peer learning, and community growth.
  • Develop scalable onboarding, engagement, and recognition strategies that foster long-term community health.
  • Stand up and manage a gated Discord experience for active Live sellers.
  • Design community structures, engagement programs, and governance models that create a trusted and valuable environment.
  • Evaluate community performance, seller sentiment, and engagement patterns to determine Discord's long-term viability as a seller engagement platform.
  • Execute content and editorial strategies that keep sellers informed, educated, and engaged.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Live teams to amplify product launches, feature updates, best practices, and seller success stories.
  • Ensure a consistent seller experience across both Community and Discord platforms while leveraging the unique strengths of each channel.
  • Plan and execute virtual events that provide meaningful value to Live sellers.
  • Develop programming such as office hours, AMAs, workshops, networking sessions, seller spotlights, and product update events.
  • Collaborate with internal experts and community leaders to deliver compelling educational experiences.
  • Establish mechanisms to gather and synthesize seller feedback across community channels.
  • Surface actionable insights that influence product development, seller experience improvements, and program strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted voice of the seller across cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with external community management agencies to ensure effective moderation and community support.
  • Develop scalable processes for community operations, moderation, member management, and engagement reporting.
  • Define success metrics and regularly communicate community performance and recommendations to stakeholders.
 
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience building, managing, or growing online communities, customer programs, creator ecosystems, or marketplace communities.
  • Proven success developing engagement strategies that drive participation, retention, and advocacy.
  • Experience creating community programs that foster meaningful peer-to-peer connections.
  • Hands-on experience managing communities on platforms such as Discord, Slack, Reddit, Client Groups, forums, or similar environments.
  • Experience launching new community initiatives and scaling engagement programs.
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience developing content strategies, editorial calendars, and community communications.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute virtual events and engagement programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyze engagement data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience gathering customer feedback and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, or Community teams.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and align multiple teams around shared goals.
  • Experience managing agency or vendor relationships is a plus.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $57.00 - $57.85/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
