About the job

Join the Q2R Finance Systems Transformation team and contribute to the future of Alphabet"s quote-to-report processes. This is a unique Program Manager role for strategic thinkers with strong finance acumen. You will guide decision-making, solve complex problems, provide analytical insights, and support strategic initiatives across the Alphabet. Building strong relationships across various functions and product areas, including executive management, is essential. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and tight deadlines, possess innovative thinking, and understand how to think from a finance process perspective.

This role requires a proactive and highly organized individual who enjoys both strategic planning and direct execution, seeking innovative solutions to finance challenges while balancing risk, speed, and cost.

As a Program Manager focused on Quote to Report (Q2R), you will play a key role in laying the foundation for the future of Finance within this process area. You will manage critical compliance or other strategic programs, document and transform Finance processes, all while driving meaningful change and making a lasting impact.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$197,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Finance and cross-functional teams to document process flows, define and monitor key metrics to measure business impacts, and propose improvements and transformation opportunities, with a focus on AI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to structure projects/programs, define goals and risks, assess budgetary and resource needs.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion and clearly track and communicate project status, risks, and remediation plans to executive stakeholders.
  • Implement a governance structure by establishing and leading various forums (working groups, director-level operating committees, and executive leadership VP steering committees).
  • Contribute to portfolio management by assisting with executive action committee material preparation, budget and resource management, status tracking and reporting.
