About the Role
As a Program Manager for Site Technology at Uber, you will lead initiatives focused on the implementation and optimization of AudioVisual (AV) Network and on-prem IT technologies across our global footprint of over 300 offices. Based within the Digital Experience team, you will own and drive project execution for integrating these critical infrastructure technologies.
Your primary focus will be leading projects to ensure seamless and standardized deployment of AV network and on-prem IT solutions. You will work closely with Workplace and business leaders to align cross-functional teams and ensure delivery with measurable outcomes.
You will oversee execution, track progress against key metrics, proactively resolve blockers, manage risks, and communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, strategic thinking, and the ability to energize teams towards ambitious goals, ultimately ensuring Ubers physical spaces are technologically robust and efficient.
What the Candidate Will Do
Lead projects to drive measurable value from AV Network and on-prem IT investments across Ubers entire workforce, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to prioritize initiatives, define milestones, estimate efforts, and allocate resources effectively for cross-functional projects.
Drive execution excellence, tracking progress rigorously, identifying and resolving dependencies or roadblocks, evaluating risks, and ensuring clear communication of status and outcomes to leadership.
Develop an understanding of AV Network and on-prem IT capabilities and technical implementations to guide teams and ensure deployed solutions meet our robust and scalable standards.
Oversee the implementation of standardized AV and/or corporate network solutions across new office builds, expansions, and renovations.
Provide basic markups related to on-prem technology on architectural drawings, ensuring accurate placement and integration of IT infrastructure.
Manage local 3rd party system integrators and oversee their implementation efforts, ensuring adherence to Ubers standards and project timelines.
Manage IT aspects of office MACs (Moves, Adds, Changes), including cabling, network, and AV equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., facilities, HR, and external vendors) to ensure timely and efficient delivery of IT services for office MACs.
Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure configurations and procedures related to office MACs and new deployments.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures during all office MAC activities and new technology implementations.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather requirements and evaluate existing infrastructure.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
Proven track record as a Program Manager successfully delivering cross-functional technical programs, ideally in a large-scale enterprise environment with global offices.
Competency with building and managing programs and projects in common project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
Ability to learn and understand challenges and risks associated with IT infrastructure implementations.
Excellent communication, written, and verbal stakeholder management, and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to make data-driven decisions objectively.
Metrics-driven approach with experience defining and tracking program success.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Practical experience with AV systems, corporate networking (LAN/WAN), and on-prem IT infrastructure (e.g., server rooms, access points).
PMP and ITIL certifications.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles, the base salary range for this role is USD133,000 per year - USD148,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles, the base salary range for this role is USD133,000 per year - USD148,000 per year.
