Program Manager - Utility Industry - # 26-20816

Duration: 12 Months

Note: hybrid, 3 days/week in office in Raleigh office.
Not looking for PM’s that have worked out in the field in Telecom for things like laying fiberoptics. Could be open to IT PM’s that have worked utilities

Job Description:

• This position is typically retained to manage multiple Green I or Green II projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-9 years of project management experience. Graduation from a four-year college or university.
• Proficient in project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters’ business (MBA), project management, or equivalent.
• Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License.
• Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls. Experience in utility industry. Knowledge in construction management.
• The Project Manager II may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management)
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel experience
• Ability to create pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Basic Excel skill sets of sorting, organizing, etc.
• Critical thinking to be able to interpret complex Excel documents

PM Experience

• Ideal candidate has Agile PM experience in the utility industry
• Utility experience to include power specifically (distribution, transmission, etc.)
• The Project Manager II may interact with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).
• Advanced Data management in tools such as Microsoft Excel and Access
• Written and oral communication skills
• Proficient to demonstrated Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
• Project related work experience; Risk Management, Project Leadership, Strong Collaboration, Oversight
• Utility Business Unit Experience as determined by BU ranging from Regulated or Commercial energy services experience.
