The Communications, Data & Program Manager is responsible for the full scope of marketing, communications, data management, program operations, and client services functions at the WISE Women's Business Center (WISE WBC). The position independently develops and executes WISE's marketing and communications strategy across all channels. It administers the center's CRM, federal reporting, and software systems, serving as the primary systems administrator for Outcome Tracker, Nexus, and the EAC Portal. The position manages client intake and counseling team operations, including SBA Form 641 compliance infrastructure, and oversees the WISE intern program. It also manages consultant agreements through Syracuse University's Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and Office of Sponsored Accounting (OSA), and coordinates with Whitman's financial administration team on transactional financial processes. The position exercises independent judgment across all functional areas and is relied upon by the Director for day-to-day marketing, data, and operational decisions.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, information management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three to five years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, program administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CRM systems administration, including system configuration, data management, and reporting.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, web analytics, and content creation tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-channel communications strategies independently.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision.
- Experience with state and federal grant programs, SBA reporting systems, or nonprofit program administration preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develops, plans, and executes WISE's annual marketing and communications strategy across all channels social media, email, web, and print including brand stewardship and content creation for outreach materials, campaigns, and events.
- Analyzes social media, email, and web analytics data to assess campaign effectiveness and inform strategy adjustments; maintains Google Analytics certification; produces and coordinates content for external publications, including authored articles for Syracuse Woman Magazine and press releases in collaboration with Syracuse University Media Relations and Whitman School of Management Marketing & Communications.
- Administers WISE's full CRM and federal reporting ecosystem (Outcome Tracker, Nexus, EAC Portal); establishes and maintains system configurations, intake forms, and survey instruments; manages data integrity and compiles program performance data for SBA reporting and grant applications.
- Serves as primary point of contact for client inquiries; manages the end-to-end client intake process; develops and maintains operational infrastructure and standard operating procedures for the counseling team; reviews SBA Form 641 compliance across counseling sessions.
