Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Program Scheduler/Planner to support the NGCM Program within the Kinetic Division on AV's IAMD portfolio. The Program Scheduler/Planner will develop, maintain, analyze, and report integrated master schedules (IMS) in support of program execution, contract deliverables, and customer reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting government contracts, applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles, and coordinating cross-functional program schedules in a fast-paced defense environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the NGCM program using industry-standard scheduling tools.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, contracts, and finance teams to ensure schedule integration and alignment.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, variance analysis, and what-if scenario planning.
  • Support compliance with government and contractual requirements including EVMS guidelines and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
  • Analyze schedule performance metrics and prepare status reports for internal leadership and government customers.
  • Monitor schedule health and ensure logic, constraints, dependencies, and resource loading are properly maintained.
  • Assist in the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), basis of estimates, and milestone planning.
  • Support monthly program reviews, customer meetings, and executive reporting.
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain configuration control and documentation for program schedules and related artifacts.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and external stakeholders to integrate supplier schedules when applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or related field.
  • 4-8 years of program scheduling or project controls experience, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Experience supporting DoD contracts and government program environments.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as: Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, Deltek Open Plan.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS principles and ANSI/EIA-748 guidelines.
  • Experience performing schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule forecasting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with DCMA 14-Point Schedule Assessment.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and milestone-driven scheduling.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, weapons systems, C4ISR, shipbuilding, or defense manufacturing programs.

The salary range for this role is:

$101,000 - $143,325
