Job Title: Program Specialist - 21st Century Community Learning Centers
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

This position is federally funded and is contingent upon the availability of grant funds. Continued employment is subject to annual funding, program requirements, and district needs.
Primary Purpose:
Develop and implement comprehensive family engagement opportunities that strengthen family-school-community partnerships and support student academic achievement, attendance, participation in after-school programming, and social-emotional growth. Collaborate with campus staff, families, and community partners to promote meaningful family involvement in 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) after-school and summer enrichment activities, ensuring families are engaged as active partners in student success.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience in family engagement, community outreach, or education.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Able to effectively model instructional techniques and behavior management methods
- Strong communication and organizational skills in written and oral forms
- Proficient computer (PCs and/or MACs) and electronic application, including desktop and file management, word processing, and spreadsheet skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Family Engagement Programming
- Develop after-school family engagement plans aligned to grant goals.
- Organize family literacy, STEM, college and career readiness, and parent education events.
- Coordinate workshops that build family capacity to support student learning.
- Promote attendance and participation in family engagement activities.
Outreach and Communication
- Serve as liaison between families, campuses, and community partners.
- Maintain regular communication with participating families.
- Develop newsletters, flyers, social media content, and promotional materials.
- Assist families in accessing community resources and support services.
Community Partnerships
- Coordinate community agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that provide services to families.
- Develop volunteer opportunities and community involvement initiatives.
Data Collection and Reporting
- Track family participation and engagement metrics.
- Collect required documentation and evaluation data.
- Prepare reports demonstrating program outcomes.
Staff Support
- Support Campus Leads in implementing family engagement activities.
- Provide training and technical assistance on family engagement best practices.
