Title: Program Specialist-Finance
Location: Rancho Mirage ,CA
Duration: 13 weeks 
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Pay:$35.00/hour (W2)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our healthcare finance team. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations of membership programs, ensure compliance with accounting policies, perform month-end close activities, reconcile general ledger accounts, support audits, and prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, advanced Excel skills, and prior experience in a hospital or physician practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial operations of membership and revenue programs.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Review and approve financial transactions before posting to the General Ledger.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and supporting external auditors.
• Generate financial reports and provide analysis for leadership.
• Train and support operational staff on financial processes and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.
• Support additional non-patient revenue programs and complete special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospital accounting or physician practice accounting.
• Healthcare finance or revenue cycle experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare financial operations and compliance.
