The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable program specialist to lead our teen technology camp at the Tuckahoe Family YMCA. Program themes will focus on career exploration, teen leadership development, cross-cultural storytelling, and building life skills. STEM and leadership development experience is preferred.
This part-time position will be 15-20 hours per week between 6/22/26-8/6/26. Starting pay is $17/hr.
DUTIES of a Program Specialist - Teen Technology Camp
Program Specialist will work closely with two Regional Directors of Community Outreach and the Regional Teen Director to plan, facilitate, and evaluate the Teen Technology Camp. Specific duties include planning and facilitating curriculum and making real-world connections, monitoring participant progress and making adjustments; working to create a safe and productive learning environment; and supervising students in day-to-day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips.
QUALIFICATIONS of a Program Specialist - Teen Technology Camp
Candidates must have at least one year of related experience, with at least six months experience working with youth. Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and technology skills. Strong relationship building, mentoring, communication and leadership skills. Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and service to diverse populations.
