Schedule: Monday – Friday, Days (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Includes 1 late evening shift per week (at least 4 hours after 5:00 PM).
Target Billable Expectation: Minimum 23 billable service hours per week.
Call/Weekend Requirements: No On-Call | Weekends as needed based on client/program demand.

Position Summary:
A community behavioral health organization in the Southgate, MI area is seeking a full-time, permanent Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Program Supervisor. This leadership role is responsible for the overall administrative and clinical operations of the I/DD program, delivering clinical supervision, managing staff, coordinating quality improvement initiatives, and overseeing services for children, adults, and families with complex developmental needs.

Core Responsibilities & Scope of Practice:
  • Clinical Supervision & Leadership: Provide direct and clinical supervision, conduct case consultations, and oversee program staff. Manage hiring, onboarding, work assignments, performance evaluations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Program Operations & Compliance: Maintain organized systems to ensure compliance with Habilitation Waiver, Children’s Waiver, and state/funding requirements. Monitor staff credentials, mandatory training hours, and EMR documentation quality.
  • Crisis Management & Patient Care: Direct crisis intervention for clients and staff. Assess psychiatric, psychological, and case management needs across the service population.
  • Quality Assurance & Accreditation: Serve on the Total Quality Management (TQM) Committee and implement quality improvement initiatives aligned with Joint Commission (JCAHO) and state accrediting standards.
  • Financial & Administrative Support: Collaborate with Program Leadership and Finance to meet grant-funding guidelines and budgetary goals. Conduct regular team meetings and compile required administrative reports.

Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements:
Licensure & Education:
  • Master’s Degree: Graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling [REQUIRED].
  • Michigan State Licensure: Active, full Michigan license as an LMSW, LLP, or LPC [REQUIRED]. (Limited or temporary licenses are not accepted).
  • Specialty Designations: Must meet requirements for Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) within 120 days of hire [REQUIRED].

Clinical & Supervisory Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience examining, evaluating, and treating children and adolescents [REQUIRED].
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience working with intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) diagnoses [REQUIRED].
  • Valid Driver’s License with a favorable driving record [REQUIRED].
  • Prior experience managing Habilitation/Children's Waivers [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • 1+ years of prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
