Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning and leading of programs for the seniors and the community in the Senior Center programs. Reports to the Program Manager or designee.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires moderate physical effort including lifting up to 50 pounds. May require frequent crouching, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Frequent periods of standing or walking may be required.

RETIREMENT PLANS

ADDITIONAL
Also available to all City employees:

Do you have at least one (1) year of experience in community services programs, including working with a geriatric population; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Are you able to work indoors and/or outdoors, including standing or sitting for long periods of time?

This position requires you to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within sixty (60) days of hire. Please consent that you have read, understand, and agree to these requirements.

Do you have a high school diploma or GED equivalent?

Do you possess a valid State of Florida drivers license?

Do you have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends?

City of Miramar employees are subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situation and are expected to perform emergency service duties. Are you able to be on call for any emergency situation and to perform emergency service duties as assigned?
