Summary

The Program Support Analyst Level 2 provides analytical support within the MTA Construction & Development.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary by assignment. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop, prepare, and update analytical reports, spreadsheets, and databases.

Support data-gathering, reviewing, and updating information and documentation in project management systems or systems supporting departmental operations. Support data required for key performance indicators (KPIs).

Perform detailed budget monitoring and administration tasks for capital projects or departmental operations. Support preparation of budget requests and reports.

Provide analytical support for developing research, studies, analyses, and presentations related to capital projects, technical issues, or departmental operations.

Handle confidential and sensitive information about capital projects, departmental personnel, or operations.

Ensure effective communication and function as a liaison with project teams, departmental management, and other C&D units, as needed.

As needed, provide analytical support for various departmental and/or project management processes and reports.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field.

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.

Competences:

Excellent analytical skills.

Quantitative aptitude. Ability to synthesize and communicate management issues.

Experience in analytical roles preferred.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.

Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on data integrity.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and team members.

Knowledge of MTA policies, procedures, and processes related to departmental operations and/or capital project/program budget and administration preferred.

Ability to anticipate and support timely resolution of potential issues.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Experience with software applications related to capital project management (such as Asite, PSR, and Visio) preferred.

Other duties as assigned.
