Program Support Specialist

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76119
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Day Shift
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Work Environment: Onsite

 

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping people access workforce services? We are seeking a Program Support Specialist to provide critical operational and administrative support to workforce center staff while assisting customers with program participation and technical support needs.

 

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring program compliance, and supporting workforce development initiatives that positively impact the community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and examine compliance reports to ensure adherence to program requirements and policies.
  • Monitor customer communications and participation activities.
  • Coordinate and track required participation hours for program customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and file documentation within customer case files.
  • Participate in customer hearings and prepare required supporting documentation.
  • Assist workforce center staff with operational and administrative support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce services and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to workforce program participants.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of related administrative, customer service, workforce development, or program support experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a safe driving record required.

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of workforce development programs and services.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, management, customers, and community partners.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Requires visual acuity, hearing, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Primarily office-based work environment with occasional travel or local driving.
  • Flexible hours may be required based on business needs.
