Description
The Green Bay Area Public Schools is currently seeking candidates to join our Special Education Department as a Program Support Teacher - Support for Teachers with Stipulations to begin with the 2026-27 school year.
Essential Functions:
Collaboratively work with new teachers to implement curriculum, assessments, and related tasks designed to improve instruction for students with disabilities.
Complete coaching cycles with new educators to address instructional and behavioral practices the educator would like to focus on.
Facilitate professional development opportunities for District staff focused on the understanding and implementation of curriculum and effective instructional resources for students with special education needs.
Provide support to teachers on interpreting student data and designing approaches to improve student achievement.
Understand and promote the strategies of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) for students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
Facilitate the use of research-based and culturally and linguistically responsive instructional strategies and different service delivery models.
Model effective classroom management, behavioral and instructional strategies.
Train new teachers on resources and interventions to implement with instructional fidelity.
Coach teachers in providing positive behavior supports to address challenging behaviors.
Qualifications Desired: Knowledge and experience in Common Core State Standards, District curriculum/interventions, differentiated instruction, behavior and classroom management skills
Qualifications Required: 3 years of successful teaching experience
