Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Forestry (DOF) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Program Support Technician (PST) for the Office of Communications and Utilization and Marketing program. Based in the agency's Headquarters in Charlottesville, this position will report to the Director of Communications and provide administrative and office support to both the Communications and Utilization and Marketing teams.
The Office of Communications engages with key audiences through internal and external communications, media relations, publications, digital assets, social media, education, and crisis communications. The Communications team ensures information is clear, consistent and aligned with the DOF mission to protect and develop healthy, sustainable forest resources for Virginians.
DOF's Utilization and Marketing program helps Virginia maintain a prosperous forest products industry and assists with creating markets and benefits for forest landowners. By developing existing markets and identifying emerging opportunities, DOF supports forest industry and rural economies.
