We are currently seeking a Licensed Program Therapist to join our growing clinical team. This role supports our Diversion Program, providing behavioral health services to justice-involved individuals by improving access to mental health treatment, reducing barriers to care, and promoting successful community reintegration.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, the Program Therapist provides comprehensive behavioral health services including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, individual therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, case management, and discharge planning for individuals participating in the Diversion Program.
This position collaborates with correctional facilities, courts, probation departments, community providers, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and successful treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities
Behavioral Health & Clinical Services
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
- Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group counseling.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and treatment updates.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case conferences.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment interventions as clinically indicated.
- Promote recovery, stabilization, and successful community reintegration.
Diversion Program & Case Management
- Coordinate behavioral health services for incarcerated individuals participating in the Diversion Program.
- Develop discharge plans and coordinate re-entry services with community behavioral health providers.
- Collaborate with correctional staff, probation officers, judges, attorneys, medical providers, and community agencies.
- Assist with referrals for psychiatric services, substance use treatment, housing, and community resources.
- Manage an active caseload while monitoring release planning and follow-up services.
- Attend court hearings, staffing meetings, and treatment planning meetings as appropriate.
- Recommend diversion opportunities and community-based behavioral health treatment options.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and required reports.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, agency policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Protect confidential client information while maintaining ethical clinical practice.
- Assist with data collection and program reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Texas license or associate license in one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC Associate)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT Associate)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in behavioral health, mental health, psychiatric services, or counseling.
- Experience conducting mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and individual and group therapy.
- Strong documentation, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
Preferred
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, behavioral health hospitals, crisis stabilization, forensic mental health, correctional behavioral health, or community mental health.
- Experience with justice-involved populations.
- Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care, Substance Use Disorders, and evidence-based behavioral health practices.
- Familiarity with:
- Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) Model
- Sequential Intercept Model
- Criminogenic Needs Assessment
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and community behavioral health resources.
