Programmer 2 (On-site), W2 only, No C2C

Our client is seeking a Programmer 2 to support the design and development of application software and systems. This role will work closely with hardware engineers to plan, design, and develop data processing systems, with a focus on porting algorithms to embedded devices.

This is a hands-on role in an embedded environment requiring strong low-level programming and system integration experience.

• Design and develop application software and embedded systems
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on system planning, design, and integration
• Support porting of algorithms to embedded devices
• Develop efficient solutions for memory-constrained environments
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems

Required Skills:

• Embedded C (ISO/ANSI C99 or later)
• Bare-metal development experience
• Experience working in memory-constrained environments (≤64 KB RAM)
• Strong understanding of low-level software development
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SmartFusion 2 (Microsemi/Microchip) SoC FPGA
• Familiarity with Cortex-M3 (ARMv7-M) architecture
• Experience with low-level debugging tools including JTAG/SWD adapters (Segger J-Link, OpenOCD)
• Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and in-circuit emulators

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related)
• OR equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience

Pay Range: $64.00 - $69.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
