Programmer Analyst- Data Solutions
We are seeking a Programmer Analyst - Data Solutions to support the design, development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise data and analytics solutions. Working closely with senior engineers, architects, and technical leads, this role will help deliver scalable data solutions across Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and modern cloud data platforms.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can take a high-level design, work through implementation details, identify gaps, ask thoughtful questions, and drive assigned work through analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support. This role requires strong technical skills, a solid understanding of modern data architectures, and the ability to contribute across both project-based initiatives and ongoing application support and enhancement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to the design and delivery of scalable data and analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data integration, transformation, and analytics solutions using SQL, Python, Spark, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and related technologies.
- Support both new development initiatives and ongoing, maintenance, enhancements, and defect resolution activities.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, data transformations, and reusable data assets for large-scale analytics environments.
- Contribute to logical and physical data modeling, including dimensional modeling, data mapping, metadata management, and data lineage documentation. (Good to have)
- Develop solutions leveraging modern data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, with understanding of Delta Lake, Iceberg, partitioning, and performance optimization techniques.
- Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure data integrity across platforms.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to implement scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, release deployments, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support cloud-based and distributed data processing platforms while following established architecture, governance, and development best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, business intelligence, or data solutions delivery.
- Strong SQL development skills and experience working with large-scale analytical datasets.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, massively parallel processing (MPP) databases, distributed data warehouse architectures, and cloud data platforms.
- Experience developing data solutions using Python and Spark/PySpark.
- Working knowledge of Delta Lake, Apache Ice berg, partitioning strategies, file formats, storage optimization techniques, and query performance tuning.
- Understanding of how data is stored, managed, and processed across cloud-native analytics platforms, including Snowflake and open-source data ecosystems.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and large-scale data environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and effectively collaborate within a team environment with ownership and accountability for assigned work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with AWS data and analytics services.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices.
- Knowledge of financial, accounting, or enterprise reporting data domains.
- Financial Services industry experience.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and Git-based development workflows.
Salary Range- $100,000-$120,000 a year
