Position Summary

Salary: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule C-3 and experience

To support, analyze, and enhance the college's ERP systems with a focus on Banner Student, Financial Aid, Finance, HR, Banner Insights, and integrated technologies. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, supporting decision-making, and optimizing processes in a multi-entity environment. This position will use analysis and design techniques to solve business problems using programming, automating processes, supporting ERP users and applications, and evaluating business processes. The ERP Analyst works collaboratively with Information Technology, Institutional Effectiveness, and key campus stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional support for Ellucian Banner, with an emphasis on the Student module and MEPPD (Multi-Entity Processing and Person Data).
  • Design and generate complex queries and reports using SQL (PostgreSQL and Oracle), supporting departmental needs and institutional reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytics in Banner Insights for various business units.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend ERP-related improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Serve as a liaison between end users and technical teams to gather, document, and translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues and escalate to Ellucian or internal IT support when appropriate.
  • Assist in system testing, patching, and upgrades by coordinating across departments and ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Ensure data integrity by supporting audits, performing validations, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Provide end-user training and support for ERP tools and reporting solutions.
  • Analyze and assist with all ERP applications: including Ellucian Banner and ancillary systems such as and Degree Works.
  • Collaborate with system owners, development, technical support and end users to identify and resolve problems.
  • Serve as a DAX verifier of data and assist the IE office in data integrity issues.
  • Serve on college committees as assigned.
  • Represent the institution in discussions with external parties or partners on ERP-related matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: *Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.

  • A combination of education, work experience and certification (s) will be given consideration in lieu of the bachelor's degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of full-time experience with ERP systems required, preferably with Ellucian Banner.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL required
  • Familiarity with Banner Insights and working in a multi-entity environment (MEPPD) strongly preferred
  • Experience in higher education preferred

License: No special licenses required.

Sick Leave

Retirement

The TRS was established in 1939 to provide benefits to qualified persons employed by state-supported educational institutions. Responsibility for the management and administration of the TRS is vested in its Board of Control. The Boards of Control elect the Secretary-Treasurer who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the RSA and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the RSA. Tuition Assistance

This tuition waiver program is designed for all full-time instructional and non-instructional employees of The Alabama College System and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education and their dependents as defined under by policy. The program will be coordinated by each institution for employees within The Alabama College System and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education. An application form for the tuition assistance program is available in the Human Resources office and should be completed prior to registration for classes.

Employees/Dependents at two-year colleges:

  • 1/3 waived after 1st year
  • 2/3 waived after 2nd year
