About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support the financial performance of engineering and consulting projects. This role serves as a key partner to project leaders by managing project setup, billing, accounts receivable, WIP tracking, reporting, and overall project financial health. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative, professional environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities.

What You'll Do

• Manage project setup and maintenance within Unanet
• Prepare accurate and timely client invoices
• Monitor accounts receivable and lead collection efforts
• Track and manage Work-in-Process (WIP) and unbilled costs
• Review contracts and proposals to ensure proper billing requirements
• Support project managers with financial reporting and project performance metrics
• Lead project review meetings and provide financial insights
• Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• Maintain project data integrity and reporting accuracy
• Collaborate with project teams, leadership, and internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting or project accounting experience
• Experience with project billing, AR, collections, and financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience within Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), consulting, or professional services environments is highly preferred
• Experience with Unanet or similar software is a strong plus
