Project Accountant – Your Job Duties
· Oversee project accounting across multiple active construction jobs
· Track job costs, billing, revenue, and overall project financial performance
· Maintain accurate project data in Sage 300 and ensure financials stay current
· Prepare and submit client billing packages with full support documentation
· Coordinate subcontractor billing through GCPay and keep invoicing on schedule
· Manage lien waivers and preliminary notices throughout the project lifecycle
· Support project setup, WIP tracking, and closeout processes
· Partner with project managers to keep financial timelines and deliverables on track
Project Accountant – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)
· Background in project accounting or construction accounting
· Hands-on exposure to job costing and project financial tracking
· Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting systems
· Involvement with billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Clear communication style with confidence to follow up and maintain accountability
· Exposure to construction billing, lien waivers, and project closeout processes is a plus
Project Accountant – Benefits for You
Your compensation for this Project Accountant role will be $75,000-$85,000 range with a bonus target of 10% of salary and aligned with your background and skill set. You will be based in the Sunnyvale area in an in-office setting that keeps you closely connected to project teams and daily operations. Your schedule will typically run from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
